Water/Sewer Information

Important Information for Water and Sewer as well as current Rates:
Key Guidelines During a Boil Water Advisory:
  • Drinking & Food Prep: Use bottled or boiled water for drinking, brushing teeth, cooking, washing fruits/vegetables, and preparing baby formula.
  • Ice & Coffee: Discard existing ice, turn off the automatic ice maker, and do not use coffee makers with tap water.
  • Hygiene: Adults may shower, but avoid swallowing water. Give infants/children sponge baths to reduce risk. Use hand sanitizer after washing hands with tap water.
  • Dishes: Wash dishes in hot, soapy water, then sanitize in a mixture of 1 tablespoon bleach to 1 gallon of water. Alternatively, use the highest heat cycle on your dishwasher.
  • Filters: Do not rely on home water filters; they do not kill germs.
When the Advisory is Lifted:
  • Flush household pipes by running cold water for at least 1 minute.
  • Replace water filters.
  • Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle.
