I-95 / I-40 Crossroads of America Economic Development Alliance

 Four Oaks Since 2021, The Town played a significant role in the creation and success of the I-95/I-40 Crossroads of America Economic Development Alliance. The Alliance exists to promote economic growth in Southern Johnston County and Eastern Harnett County, NC.
In partnership with the State of North Carolina, the City of Dunn and the Town of Four Oaks have pooled resources to staff a dedicated team focused on workforce development, site identification and marketing.

The Town of Four Oaks will soon be home to a state of the art 60,000 square foot Advanced Manufacturing Training Center. This $35 million facility will be the new home of Johnston Community College’s advanced manufacturing program as well ground zero for job creation in region for years to come. Located just off exit 87, the facility will be strategically located less than a mile from the industrial park and other prospective industrial sites but also serve as a landmark to those traveling along I-95. This project is a display of collaboration between the Alliance, the State of North Carolina, Johnston County Government, and Johnston Community College.

The Town of Four Oaks proudly host one of the more premiere industrial parks in Eastern North Carolina right off exit 87. Town and county leaders as well as private land owners came together years ago to better position themselves for quality job creation.
